Thermocouples are best suited for high temperatures, extreme environments or applications requiring microscopic size sensors. Watlow offers a variety of configurations including general applications tube and wire thermocouples capable of operating up to 900° F (480° C), mineral insulated, base metal and noble metal thermocouples capable of operating up to 2300° F (1260° C) and high temperature thermocouples that operate up to 3100° F (1700° C).
RTDs are suited for applications where accuracy and stability are essential for proper control in applications below 1200° F (650° C). Thermistors are best for applications where fast time response and high change in resistance over limited temperature range is desired. Maximum operating temperature on Watlow thermistors is 572° F (300° C).
Watlow offers a full line of thermowells, protecting tubes, connectors, connection heads, terminal blocks and transmitter. All of these accessories compliment Watlow's full-line of sensors and complete your thermal sensing requirements.
Watlow's SERV-RITE® wire is used for connecting a sensor to an instrument or controller. Insulation temperature ranges from -328 to 2350° F (-200 to 1290° C).
The unique properties of XACTPAK® MI, metal-sheathed cable make it ideally suited to solve a wide variety of problem applications. They can be easily formed or bent to accommodate many configurations. Diameters range from 0.010 to 0.5 in. (0.25 to 12.7 mm).
